vanilla is the flavor of the flavors i most savor vanilla is the one of my favored chocolate is the tips of the wise men's brilliant tongue waiting to be sung by my tongue and the darkness that is often lofting in periphery is nothing close to truth to me chocolate is one thick group of bohemian thieves in need of peace vanilla is their sage, she never sleeps well vanilla is the color of the sky i wanna dive in chocolate is the song i'd wanna hear and the darkness that is taunting never leaves a remark for chocolate and vanilla not one single earshot for chocolate and vanilla vanilla of my favored vanilla la la la don't chocolate play one pretty mean sonata? vanilla is the savior of the flavors i most savor vanilla is the one of my favored of my favored vanilla is the one of my favored vanilla la la la of my favored vanilla is the one (la la la) vanilla is the one (la la la) of my favored vanilla la la la

Farm Song 02:32
i went to an invite only party on a family farm and i arrived to open doors and arms i had a wild hair that you'd be there we'd dance and dine on wine the finest fare that you can find here in the states and we ate on golden plates among the people dressed up to the nines in my thrift store finds there was a fire burning bright next to the barn that someone fed all night and i was warm despite the coming rain see, the summer time had passed us by the crops were grown, the grass was high i found myself still looking for you there was a kitten in the attic small and grey without a name who shivered shook and listened hard to the thunder and the rain and i swear you were there among the people huddled close inside and drip dried and stared outside was getting dark the sky was so obscured no one was really sure how they would make their exit that's when you arrived and brought the light a peaceful shining joyful smile you asked me for a dance and took my hands ooo aaa and all the people walked out to their cars turned their headlights on there was our fire burning bright beside the barn you slept all night and there were goats and geese and pastures to the east

Your Town 03:48
all that i see these days are cranes in the sky lining our eyes but cranes that cannot fly no cranes that don't fly but build towers by night for the people looking up and the people passing by and i have to remember to tell all the folks it isn't just happening in your town no it isn't just happening to you all that i hear these days is how much the price has raised to live to breathe to stay here to be you must pay and i have to remind you it isn't just happening in your town no it isn't just happening to you no it isn't just happening in your town no it isn't just happening to you so if it's not just happening in your town then we must in fact just be one town it isn't just happening to you no it isn't just happening in your town no it isn't just happening to you all that i see these days are cranes in the skyline and it isn't just happening in your town no it isn't just happening to you no it isn't just happening in your town no it isn't just happening to you no it isn't just happening in your town (it isn't just happening) no it isn't just happening to you no it isn't just happening in your town (it isn't just happening) it isn't just happening to you no it isn't just happening it isn't just happening no it isn't just happening to you no it isn't just happening in your town (it isn't just happening) no it isn't just happening to you

about

Rain and Left recorded this collection of songs on their TASCAM 8-track in the northern California living room of two British biologists while on fire watch in the rolling golden hills of Yolo County. In early October of 2016, they took these tunes to the Bomb Shelter in far east Nashville where they were mixed with Eduardo "Edman" Duquesne, spirit-animaled by Andrija Tokic, and then mastered by John Baldwin. It is with supreme love and mystery that Rain and Left release this, their debut album, exactly 7 years after they met in the west side of Manhattan.
